Don't worry. I don't believe even half of everything I read...on any side of an issue. I just wondered if anyone here was familiar with this fellow as he was once a JW.

Curious about accusations against the Iranian president for his views on the Holocaust, I was doing a little research into the matter and stumbled across this character: Ditlieb Felderer Charged, tried, convicted and jailed in Sweden. Vilified in the press. Forced to live in exile. Background and contribution: Felderer, at one time a prominent Jehovah's Witness, is known as an early researcher into the physical evidence in every major concentration camp in then Communist Eastern Europe. Felderer took over 30,000 photographs of every conceivable detail in the camps. He discovered that there was a swimming pool for the inmates in Auschwitz, modern hospital facilities, including a gynecological section, as well as an orchestra, live theatre, well-stocked library, and sculpting classes. He discovered the musical score of the "Auschwitz Waltz" in the secret archives accessible only with special permission. He found that an intimate role was played by Jehovah Witnesses in the camps, who cooperated with the SS-Administration, and he exposed the lie of the 60,000 Jehovah's Witnesses killed. (On his initiative and insistence, the inflated number was reduced to 203) [Trial Transcript Vol. 18, 4226 to 4229; 4645]. For his Revisionist work, Felderer was excommunicated - that is, drummed out of the Jehovah Witnesses' sect. He has been persecuted by the Holocaust Enforcers ever since. Felderer is known for his weird sense of humor and outlandish, offensive cartoons. He believes that deliberate Holocaust liars and history falsifiers should not have their sensibilities spared. This idiosyncrasy of Felderers is being exploited by Holocaust propagandists in counter-attacks against him. Zündel advisor and witness in the 1985 and 1988 Great Holocaust Trials. Just wondered if anyone was familiar with his story... ~Merry (sorry about the formatting problem, different browser, don't know how to fix it yet)

Mary, You are correct. Rutherford was not with Russell when he died. You can read about "Pastor Russell's Last Days" from the POV of the man who WAS with him, Menta Sturgeon, here: http://www.godstruthfortoday.org/BibleStudents/PastorRussellsLastDays.html ~Merry

WT's PATHETIC FUNERAL OUTLINE
by Mary inthis is supposed to be an outline for a jw funeral talk.
i'm not sure if this has been posted before but i thought i'd post here for your viewing pleasure.

That was one of the surprises my JW mother's funeral service held for me-- my cousin gave "the talk" and I thought he put a lot more warmth and memory of my mother into it than any of the other ones I had ever been to...then my best friend gave me her "outsider's" perspective: she was shocked at how little my mother had been eulogized, how much preaching there was, how unemotional it was, that there was no music, and that the witnesses all avoided her and even looked at her as if she had no right to be there. One asked her, rather distastefully, "Who are YOU?" She'll be happy if she never has to step foot in a KH again! Fine witness indeed LOL ~Merry

US Extraordinary Rendition Program--good idea or bad idea?
by Merry Magdalene intoronto, sept. 18 - canadian intelligence officials passed false warnings and bad information to american agents about a muslim canadian citizen, after which u.s. authorities secretly whisked him to syria, where he was tortured, a judicial report found monday.. the report, released in ottawa, was the result of a 2 1/2-year inquiry that represented one of the first public investigations into mistakes made as part of the united states' "extraordinary rendition" program, which has secretly spirited suspects to foreign countries for interrogation by often brutal methods.. .
oh well, he was just a muslim so who cares, right?
more justifiable "collateral damage" in the war on terror.

This bit kind of worried me too:
Since Sept. 11, the CIA, working with other intelligence agencies, has captured an estimated 3,000 people in its effort to dismantle terrorist networks. Many of them have been secretly taken by "extraordinary rendition" to other countries, hidden from U.S. legal requirements and often subject to torture.
Will we ever know how many more mistakes like this one were made?
It seems like virtually everyone was sympathetic and willing to help us after 9/11, but apparently the current admin can't stop shooting off its own toes. Is there any one, any plan, capable of turning things around for us? What would it take?

Some Unfortunate News due to the Collision
by Amazing ini was at the doctor today for over 6-hours to be tested on the issues resulting from the collision.
it seems that there are some serious effects that have emerged, which is not uncommon to happen within a short time after a serious collision.
i will describe them later on, as i am waiting for more test results to arrive.

Just be glad this could never happen to you because you're not one of "them" and everyone knows "they" are all evil or will become so if push comes to shove...right? That's the feeling I've been getting from many of the threads I've been reading here lately and that's just as dangerous a mindset as those who feel that way accuse Muslims of having.
The issue of racial profiling has been covered, so what about this? What do you think?
You can read the rest of the article at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14897315/ if so inclined.
